The goals of Stetson Family Office (SFO) with respect to Healthcare Impact Foundation (HCIF) is to
- Optimize the provision of outside capital through its network of investor relationships (Angels, VC, PE, family offices and corporate and institutional exit partners) which can work with local ecosystem for further co-investment into local companies from early stage to growth equity. SFO does this currently by organizing the Global Family Office BioForum, which includes groups of Family Offices interested in healthcare. In 2017, SFO held three family office meetings in Phoenix, Tucson and St. Louis and has already held nine family office meetings – Phoenix, Seattle, Cleveland, Austin, Brisbane, Singapore, Geneva, Basel and Toronto. SFO is in the process of appointing coordinators in each city to be an independent group that works with the local accelerator.
- SFO has built relationships with family offices in the U. K., Europe, the Gulf States and Asia who are interested in distribution arrangements with the top healthcare innovation companies in the U.S.
- SFO has relationships with key organizations and foundations focused on important disease:
- Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation
- The Biden Cancer Initiative
- Sanford Consortium (stem cell)
